Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky will receive 28 units of road and snow removal equipment, as well as 13 units of special vehicles for waste collection.

The first 10 vehicles have already arrived in the city; they will be used to clear the streets in winter.

Delivery of all equipment is expected before the end of autumn.

New snow removal and road equipment has begun to arrive in Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky - in total, the city will receive 28 units of road and snow removal vehicles and 13 units of special vehicles for waste collection, said the Governor of the Kamchatka Territory, Vladimir Solodov.

“Thanks to the order of the President of Russia, the city will receive 28 units of road and snow removal equipment. The first 10 vehicles have already arrived: graders, loaders and excavators will go out to clear the streets this winter,” the press service of the regional government quotes Solodov as saying.

The governor added that two units of special transport for waste collection also arrived in the city, the remaining 11 are on the way. Delivery of all equipment is expected before the end of autumn.

According to Solodov, federal funding to modernize the vehicle fleet was attracted after a series of powerful cyclones hit the peninsula in January. Then the head of the region turned to the Deputy Prime Minister - Plenipotentiary Representative of the President of the Russian Federation in the Far Eastern Federal District, Yuri Trutnev, after which, on the direct instructions of Russian President Vladimir Putin, the region was allocated funds for the purchase of cars.
