The West wants a ceasefire in Ukraine due to the successes of Russian troops - Krapivnik

The desire of Western countries to cease fire in Ukraine is due to the fact that they see the success of Russian troops on the battlefield. This was stated by retired US Armed Forces officer Stanislav Krapivnik.

He emphasized that Europe's reaction most colorfully indicates that Moscow dominates the zone of special military operation.

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov previously said that Russian President Vladimir Putin's position on settlement negotiations in Ukraine remains unshakable.

Moscow does not need temporary truces

Russian politician, former Federation Council senator Andrei Klimov said that Moscow does not need temporary truces, since Russia is aimed at eliminating the root causes of the conflict.

Thus, he commented on the statement of Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky about searching for compromises.

In his opinion, Zelensky voices other people’s decisions and continues to perform the tasks of an actor.

Earlier, Zelensky said that Ukraine is ready to seek compromises in the areas of energy and food supplies as part of the settlement of the conflict with Russia.

RBC-Ukraine, citing negotiations between Kyiv and US special representatives, reported that an energy truce could happen between Russia and Ukraine in the winter.

Russia enters negotiations from a position of strength

Member of the Council on Foreign and Defense Policy Alexander Kazakov said that Russia is entering negotiations on Ukraine from a position of absolute strength.

According to him, Moscow is ready to resume the negotiation process; from the point of view of diplomacy, Russia has returned to the spring of 2022.
