Gangwon Special Self-Governing Province selects three national heritage media art contest projects

(Chuncheon = Yonhap News) Reporter Yang Ji-woong = Gangwon Special Self-Governing Province announced on the 13th that as a result of the '2027 National Heritage Media Art' contest hosted by the National Heritage Administration, three projects out of seven nationwide were selected.

This is a project that produces and operates content based on storytelling using various technologies such as media and digital based on the value and history of national heritage.

The three projects selected this time are ▲ Wonju Gangwon Gamyeong, ‘Walking in Bongrae, a world where freshness dwells’ ▲ Taebaek Cheoram Station Coal Coating Facility ‘Taebaek’s Dream, Road of Life, Light of Industry – Connection to the Future’ ▲ Cheorwon Labor Party Headquarters ‘Peace Martial Arts: Peace has no boundaries’.

Through this, a total of 3.8 billion won, including 1.9 billion won in national funds, will be invested to present to citizens a variety of media contents that fit the characteristics of national heritage.

Kim Maeng-gi, head of the Provincial Cultural Heritage Department, said, "Through this contest selection, we will provide residents and tourists with a new cultural experience that combines the historicity of national heritage with cutting-edge digital technology. We will strive to develop various contents utilizing national heritage in the future."
