Ministry of Education and Science: all applicants with 300 Unified State Exam points were admitted to the budget

Of the 70 graduates who passed three Unified State Examinations (USE) with 300 points, 65 people entered Russian universities on the budget. This statement was made by the Ministry of Education and Science after a scandal with the admission of applicants who passed the exams with maximum scores, as reported by Kommersant (Kommersant).

The ministry indicated that universities will pay for the education of another four out of 70 applicants on their own, and another graduate has not applied to any educational institution. Thus, each of those who passed the Unified State Exam with 300 points and entered a university will study for free.

In addition, the Ministry of Education and Science will analyze the situation with the admission of applicants without entrance examinations (BVI) and, if necessary, will consider changing the procedure for admission to educational institutions.

The scandal surrounding the admission of 100-score students to universities broke out after summing up the results of the 2026 admissions campaign in early August. In some popular areas of training, budget places were completely occupied by applicants with BVI qualification, as a result of which graduates who passed the Unified State Exam with 300 points could not get into their dream universities.
