Chen Renhao immigrated to the United States with his mother when he was 13 years old. He started studying in the eighth grade. He recalled that when he arrived in the United States, he "spoke no English at all." Language became the biggest obstacle and his academic progress was slower than his classmates. Later, he gradually overcame the challenge and entered the "Art Center College of Design" to study entertainment design (Entertainment Design). After graduation, he entered the animation industry.

As his career has gone through ups and downs, Chen Renhao is glad that he "takes setbacks as opportunities for progress." Looking back on his passion for animation, he found that the seeds were planted during his childhood in Kaohsiung. Chen Renhao said, "When I was growing up in Taiwan, there was no Channel 4 at home, only Taiwan TV, China Television, and China Television. I remember that cartoons were broadcast on TV from Monday to Friday, and I would take out the newspaper every day to see what cartoons were broadcast today. At that time, I thought animation was very interesting, and I never thought that I would do animation in the future."
