Yura Borisov may receive an Oscar nomination for Luca Guadagnino's film

Russian actor Yura Borisov will compete for an Oscar nomination in the Best Actor category for the film “Artificial” by Luca Guadagnino. This forecast was released by Variety.

In Guadagnino's drama about the history of OpenAI, the developer of the ChatGPT chatbot, Borisov played the role of the company's co-founder and former chief scientist Ilya Sutskever. It is noted that Andrew Garfield, who played OpenAI head Sam Altman, will be considered as a potential nominee in the Best Supporting Actor category.

Also vying for this nomination is Mark Rylance, who plays the role of British scientist Geoffrey Hinton in the film. Monica Barbaro, who played former OpenAI employee Mira Murati, will be nominated for the Best Supporting Actress nomination.

The premiere of the biographical dramedy “Artificial” took place on October 5 in New York. The theatrical release of the film is scheduled for December 25.
