The Pingtung County Party Headquarters of the Democratic Progressive Party today (25th) approved the recruitment of county councilor Liang Yuci to run for the mayor of Pingtung. The party and all walks of life also expressed their full support. Liang Yuci said that the election situation in Pingtung City has always been difficult. Now is the critical moment for her hometown to be reborn. She must bravely bear it. This is a responsibility, not a sacrifice. She also proposed 5 prescriptions. The county and city will work together to usher in great progress.
Liang Yuci said that as a local daughter of Pingtung City, she embraced the deepest feelings for her hometown and a sense of mission, and officially accepted the recruitment of the DPP. Liang Yuci proposed the "Five Prescriptions" to allow counties and cities to work together to usher in great progress. First, revitalize old cities, old markets and idle spaces to create opportunities for young people to return home and create local employment; second, implement road leveling, improve transportation planning and the school district's access environment; third, strengthen elder care, child care and the use of public spaces; fourth, improve the quality of the city appearance, parks, ditches, venues and Wannian Creek; fifth, promote the digital transformation of municipal offices and improve administrative efficiency and service quality. Pingtung City needs a mayor who wants to do things, knows how to do things, and is willing to do things to lead the city forward.
Luo Pingdao, chairman of the Pingtung County Party Committee of the Democratic Progressive Party, said that during the consultation process, all walks of life unanimously recommended Liang Yuci as the strongest candidate. In addition, President Lai Qingde encouraged the younger generation to be courageous in taking responsibility, so the party executive committee unanimously approved the recruitment. County councilor Li Shibin, former Pingtung County Lawyers Association chairman Lin Pengzhu, Chaozhou mayor candidate Hong Mingjiang and other representatives from all walks of life all affirmed that Liang Yuci is the best candidate for Pingtung mayor.
Legislator Zhong Jiabin strongly recommended Liang Yuci to give up his position as a council member and run for mayor, showing his determination to break the boat. He affirmed that Liang Yuci is capable of doing things, is professional, and can lead Pingtung City to new heights.
