(Ulsan = Yonhap News) Reporter Jang Young-eun = Ulsan Ulju-gun Facilities Management Corporation announced on the 27th that it is operating 'Our Neighborhood Cultural Heritage Comes to Life in 3D' with Ulju-gun youth under the auspices of the Central Youth Training Center.

It is part of the support project for the ‘Growing Dreams with Strides Project’ of the Rural Youth Development Foundation.

This project, which will be conducted over a total of 8 sessions, is an activity in which youth directly explore local cultural heritage, use digital technologies such as 3D modeling to reinterpret cultural heritage from the youth's own perspective, and then share it with the local community.

In the recent 'Cultural Heritage of Our Neighborhood Comes to Life in 3D - Inside Ulju's Treasures' (Cultural Heritage Tour) activity, we visited ▲ Cheonjeon-ri carved stones and inscriptions ▲ Chungryeolgong Park Je-sang's historic site ▲ Geunjaegong House of the Hakseong Lee Clan and Seokgyeseowon in Ulju-gun with a historical and cultural field trip expert.

Participating youth had time to newly discover the history and cultural values ​​of Ulju, where they live, by looking at the stories contained in cultural heritage from each era, from the prehistoric era to the Three Kingdoms period to the late Joseon Dynasty.

After completing the tour, teenagers plan their own goods and experience items using the cultural heritage features and patterns that impressed them the most until October 24th.

Next, we plan to produce actual results using 3D modeling and 3D printers, and display and promote Ulju-gun treasures by operating a 'Cultural Heritage of Our Neighborhood' promotional booth.

An official at the Central Youth Training Center said, "It is meaningful for youth to go beyond simply seeing and learning about cultural heritage, to directly explore it and express it in a new way in their own way," and added, "Through this project, we hope that youth will become interested in our local history and culture and grow into agents who promote local values."
