WorldSkills Competition held in Shanghai: Decoding Industrial Machinery, Cyber Security and 3D Game Art Competition

The World Skills Competition, known as the "World Skills Olympics", is being held in Shanghai. Many spectators and professionals came to the scene to watch the contestants compete. People have discovered that, unlike sports meets, the competitive events in skills competitions are closely related to our lives: there are furniture making, cooking, software testing, hotel services, rail vehicle technology, drone systems... Industrial machinery: one person takes over a production line

The competition consists of four modules: machining, welding, operation and maintenance, and mechanical assembly. Players must take turns to complete turning, milling, welding, benchwork, assembly, debugging, and troubleshooting—all tasks on a production line, all done by one person. Craig Brazier, the event manager of the Industrial Machinery Project of this World Championship, has been deeply involved in the WorldSkills Competition since 2010, and has served as the event director of the Industrial Machinery Project for many times, responsible for formulating competition questions, referee management, and scoring systems. He said the player who ultimately wins is often the one who makes the fewest mistakes. Everyone makes mistakes, but those players who can sum up their experience in time, find solutions, and move on to complete the product after making mistakes are the ultimate winners. He hopes that through the World Championship, more young people can understand the industrial machinery project. This is an industry full of changes and charm!

Network Security: Can Defend, Attack and Save

George Romney, chief expert on the cybersecurity project, is from Ireland and is an expert in voice technology. He introduced that this project is a two-person team competition that tests the ability to protect network and data security in an all-round way. Players must be able to "defend" - build a security protection system and repair system vulnerabilities; they must also be able to "attack" - simulate hacker attacks and proactively investigate hidden dangers; and they must also be able to "rescue" - quickly obtain evidence and perform emergency recovery after a security incident occurs.

3D Digital Game Art: A Competition between Creativity and Precision

3D digital game art belongs to the category of creative art and fashion, and the contestants are all 3D artists and game artists. Project Skills Competition Manager Alvin Sebastian Hu is one of the core experts on the project worldwide. He said that players need to design and produce various visual materials so that all content forms a unified, coherent and immersive effect, which is crucial to creating a vivid virtual world and providing players with an attractive visual experience.
