Apple code leaked! iPad mini 8, HomePod mini 2, 4th generation Apple TV 4K exposed

Apple's new generation iPhone 18 Pro series and iPhone Duo have just been unveiled. However, there is a wave of new products ready to debut. The latest news points out that the new generation iPad mini 8, HomePod mini 2 and the fourth generation Apple TV 4K have all appeared in Apple's program code, and some products have even been dug up with relevant pictures. It is expected that these three products are likely to be unveiled in October.

According to MacRumors, researcher Aaron Perris recently discovered clues from Apple's code for a number of unreleased products, including iPad mini 8, HomePod mini 2 and the fourth-generation Apple TV 4K, and further revealed some specifications and appearance changes.

iPad mini 8 upgrades to A20 Pro chip

Among the three new products, the upgrade of iPad mini 8 has attracted the most attention. Leaked code shows that the new phone will be equipped with an A20 Pro chip, which is the same level of chip currently used in the iPhone 18 Pro series and iPhone Duo. It is an upgrade compared to the current A17 Pro.

As for the appearance, the current exposure information mainly focuses on the front of the fuselage, and the overall outline has not been significantly changed. However, the front lens will follow other iPads and switch to a horizontal Center Stage camera design. In addition, a new small opening appears above the screen, which is speculated to be related to the new speaker system.

Previous news also pointed out that the iPad mini 8 may have an upgraded OLED screen, the size is expected to be slightly enlarged, and the waterproof capability will be enhanced through a new vibrating speaker design. However, these specifications have not yet been officially confirmed by Apple.

HomePod mini 2 new color is more low-key

The first-generation HomePod mini was launched as early as 2020, and it has been about 6 years since then. This time, news of a model change has finally been announced. A product icon related to "HomePod mini 2" appears in Apple's code. The appearance still continues the existing spherical design. It is expected to be available in 5 options: green, pink, blue, white and black. However, compared to the first generation, the overall tone of the second generation is significantly softer, making it visually easier to integrate into different home spaces.

Apple TV 4K’s appearance has not changed much

Apple TV 4K has also not been updated in years. This time, information related to "4th generation Apple TV 4K" appeared directly in Apple's code, which also means that the new machine may not be far away from its debut. Judging from the exposed product pictures, the appearance of the fourth-generation Apple TV 4K is quite close to the current model, so the focus of this redesign may be mainly on the internal hardware.
