Month-old baby disappears after uncle runs away to the woods in Acre

He was found in a forested area and arrested by the Military Police (PM-AC). The child disappeared on Wednesday morning (23), however, the police and firefighters only became aware of the case on Thursday (24). The searches began on Friday morning (25) in the forest. The child remains missing and local residents are also helping with the search.

The Fire Department of Sena Madureira, a neighboring city, confirmed that a team from the kennel went to the location with two sniffer dogs. A video recorded by firefighters shows the animals in the middle of the forest looking for the baby. (See above)

Manoel Urbano's PM commander, 2nd lieutenant Antônio Carlos, confirmed to g1 that the searches were suspended overnight and will resume this Saturday morning (26). The child's father is also part of the rescue teams.

"We have sniffer dogs, police teams, there are people who are civilians and are helping, firefighters. We are trying to find the place where he was seen with the girl. Today her father participated", he summarized.

The suspect is the girl's mother's brother. He was at the family home and took advantage of the moment he was alone with the child to escape into the woods. He was taken to the Manoel Urbano police station and questioned by the police.

However, he claimed that he did not remember what he did with the child. During the search in the woods, firefighters found a sandal and a piece of children's clothing, which could belong to the child.
