Media: the cause of death of actress Hayden Panettiere could have been drugs

The cause of death of the former fiancee of Ukrainian boxer Vladimir Klitschko, American actress Hayden Panettiere, could have been drugs, the TMZ portal reports, citing informed sources.

ABC previously reported that the US Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) had joined the investigation into Panettiere's death.

"Hayden Panettiere took one fatal pill on the day of her death, which several law enforcement sources believe was oxycodone mixed with fentanyl," the portal said in a statement.

According to the publication, at the moment the results of the toxicological examination have not yet been received, however, according to the working version, the artist died because of this drug.

Panettiere died at the age of 37, ABC reported on August 17, citing the actress’s representative.

Previously, Panettiere was in a relationship with boxer Vladimir Klitschko, the world heavyweight champion according to WBO and IBF. In December 2014, as People wrote, their daughter Kaya-Evdokia Klitschko was born. However, after giving birth, the actress developed depression, became addicted to alcohol and drugs, and already in 2018 she gave Klitschko full custody of the child.
