Korean women's hockey advances to semifinals after defeating Malaysia at Asian Games

The national team, led by coach Kim Yong-soo, defeated Malaysia 2-1 in the final match of Group A held at Kakamigahara Green Stadium in Gifu Prefecture, Japan on the 27th.

As a result, Korea, with 12 points (4 wins, 1 loss), advanced to the semifinals in second place in the group, following China (15 points, 5 wins, undefeated).

India, ranked first in Group B, is likely to compete for advancement to the finals at the same venue at 7 p.m. on the 30th.

Korea took the lead with a penalty corner goal by Park Seung-ae (KT) at the end of the first quarter.

In the second quarter, Sujin Ahn (Pyeongtaek City Hall) scored a field goal at the last minute before the whistle was blown.
