China's "Regulations on Exit and Entry Administration of the State Council" were implemented on September 15. During an interview at the Legislative Yuan today, Mainland Affairs Council Chairman Qiu Chuizheng called on Chinese people to pay attention to their own safety when going to China, carefully consider the necessity of going to China, make safety preparations, and reduce risks.

Qiu Chuizheng said that the risk to the personal safety of Chinese people in mainland China continues to increase, including 168 cases of missing people who went to mainland China to visit relatives and friends; 39 cases of being detained for interrogation in mainland China; and 242 cases of people being detained in mainland China for various violations.
