Internet celebrity "Small Businessman" published an article accusing Lin Yuling, the mayor of Minxiong Township in Chiayi County, of spending millions of dollars in political donations at her three stores on Fuxing Road in Minxiong Township, questioning whether Lin Yuling exchanged political donations for cash. In response, Lin Yuling's service office issued a statement today emphasizing that all declarations were completed in accordance with the law and reimbursements were made in compliance with the law.

Lin Yuling's service office pointed out that in response to recent concerns from online fans and some media about her declaration of political donations during the past election campaign, in order to set the record straight, we hereby issue an official statement stating that the declaration was made in accordance with the law and the entire process was reviewed and verified by the Supervisory Yuan, emphasizing the political donation income from previous elections. All donations and expenditures are handled in full compliance with the provisions of the Political Contribution Law. Relevant accounts, qualified certificates and receipts have been fully reported to the Supervisory Yuan, the competent authority, and have been reviewed and verified by the Supervisory Yuan. The entire process is open and transparent, and there is absolutely no illegal or private giving or receiving.
