Agence France-Presse reported that the U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) posted on the social platform X: "Today, the U.S. military lifted the blockade of all maritime traffic in and out of Iranian ports and coastal areas."

The post added that U.S. warships "will continue to remain in the vicinity to ensure that all aspects of the agreement are adhered to."

U.S. Vice President J.D. Vance said the U.S. military had allowed at least 12 ships to pass.

After Iran closed the Strait of Hormuz at the beginning of the war, the US military also imposed a blockade on Iran.

According to a maritime tracking agency, three Saudi oil tankers have left the Persian Gulf through the Strait of Hormuz today. The Mraikh, a French ship carrying liquefied natural gas (LNG), became the first French ship of its kind to pass through the waterway since the outbreak of the conflict.
