Well-known Russian blogger and designer Artemy Lebedev commented on the idea of ​​lawyer Valeria Rytvina to punish for inciting hatred based on marital status, which the media presented as a proposal to prosecute for the expression “divorce with a trailer.” He shared his opinion in a news review published in VK Video.

Lebedev said that he was very surprised when he learned from the press that in Russia they want to punish for the expression “divorce with a trailer.” “I myself am a breeder with a trailer. I always promote myself this way. I’m a divorcee, I have 11 trailers,” the blogger said.

According to the designer, he would not be offended if someone labeled him with such an expression.

Rytvina, at a round table in the State Duma, proposed punishing incitement to hatred based on marital status. She clarified that if the amendments are adopted, both women and men will be held responsible for such a violation. According to the video published by Rytvina, the round table included mention of the offensive expression “divorce with a trailer” (RSP), which is often used in relation to single women with children. At the same time, the lawyer assured that she does not propose to introduce this expression itself into the law. After articles about Rytvina’s initiative spread on social networks, she began receiving threats.
