Signed a business agreement to promote education innovation as a leading region with Pocheon City and the 5th Corps

(Pocheon = Yonhap News) Reporter Noh Seung-hyuk = Pocheon City, Gyeonggi Province, announced on the 17th that it signed a business agreement with major local organizations such as the 5th Army Corps, Gyeonggi Provincial Office of Education, Pocheon Office of Education, local universities, and the Pocheon Chamber of Commerce and Industry to promote education innovation as a leading region.

On this day, the city signed a 'Business Agreement for Mutual Cooperation and Support in Educational Innovation Leading Areas' with the 5th Corps (Commander Lee Il-yong) at the Army's 5th Corps Headquarters.

Pocheon City and the 5th Army Corps decided to cooperate in supporting the operation plan and implementation of educational innovation leading regions, creating an educational innovation model suited to local conditions, strengthening county-region linked education, and operating regional specialized education programs.

In particular, we plan to connect the various expertise and talents of military personnel with local education to expand educational activities for students such as learning counseling and career and job experience, and to create a win-win cooperation model in which the military and the region grow together, such as discovering customized support programs for military children who have difficulty accessing quality education.

Pocheon City also signed agreements with the Gyeonggi-do Pocheon Office of Education, Kyungbok University, Daejin University, Cha University of Science and Technology, and the Pocheon Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

The purpose of the agreement is to connect the capabilities and resources of each institution and establish a continuous cooperation system for the stable promotion of educational innovation leading regions.

The contracting institutions agreed to cooperate in preparing an operation plan for leading educational innovation regions, creating an educational innovation model suited to local conditions, strengthening university-industry linkage education, and operating regional specialized education programs.

The significance of this agreement is that Pocheon City has established a regional education innovation cooperation that goes beyond the existing education cooperation centered on the Office of Education and schools and includes the military, universities, and industry.
