The Ministry of Education stated today (30th) that it has accumulated 5,513 aesthetic teaching results, and has further put curriculum cases such as kindergartens, library-school cooperation, interdisciplinary teaching and "Annie News" on "Wiki College" and "Wikibooks", transforming the teaching experience accumulated by Taiwanese teachers for many years into open educational resources, so that good teaching plans can go beyond the campus and go global.
Peng Baoshu, Section Chief of the Art Education Section of the Teacher Training and Art Education Department of the Ministry of Education, said that the Ministry of Education has promoted the "Aesthetic Education Medium and Long-term Plan 3rd Five-Year Plan" since 2024, and the National Cheng Kung University team has implemented the "Aesthetics and Design Curriculum Innovation Plan" to accumulate aesthetic education results in different fields through teacher co-preparation, curriculum innovation, workshops and practical teaching.

As of July this year, the official website of the Aesthetics and Design Course Innovation Project has received 495,000 views and 5,513 teaching results. This year, it has obtained AA level accessibility certification and has improved image alternative text, keyboard operation and color contrast, making it easier for users with different needs to obtain teaching resources.
These aesthetic courses don’t just teach children to “draw beautifully.” For example, the "Art to Find Beauty" program allows students to enter museums and art venues through cooperation with schools, extending the visiting experience to the classroom. Kindergarten beauty education guides children to discover beauty in daily life from different aspects such as images, dining tables, visual arts and living spaces.
At present, "Wiki College" has compiled 8 common courses of the Kindergarten Aesthetic Education Grounded Program, 25 "Art to Seek Beauty" museum-school experience cases, 12 cross-field aesthetic education course cases, and 6 "Annie News" course examples; "Wiki Textbook" has also compiled 7 volumes of "Aesthetic Learning Tools Manual". Teachers can directly find inspiration from practical cases in different schools, and then transform and apply them according to the needs of students and courses.
Among them, "Annie News" uses paper publications as teaching materials, extending from reading to the study of aesthetics such as color, proportion, texture and composition; the cooperation between museums and schools makes the museum not only an off-campus teaching attraction, but also a part of the curriculum. Kindergarten courses also start from the perspective of "beauty is life", allowing children to develop their ability to observe and feel from the living environment.
Peng Baoshu said that the focus of the disclosure of aesthetic education resources is not only to "put the results online", but also to lower the threshold for teachers and learners to obtain resources, so that the teaching results can truly be seen and used. In the future, we will continue to expand the content in the direction of "openness, sharing, and exchange" so that Taiwan's aesthetic education experience can transcend regions and national boundaries and be seen and used by more educators at home and abroad.
