Bill Gates warned about the dangers of artificial intelligence

Microsoft founder Bill Gates believes that the development of artificial intelligence could lead to events that would lead to the death of a billion people. He stated this in an interview with NBC.

The billionaire called AI “powerful enough” for things to turn out exactly as he predicted. Gates clarified that humanity has never had such a powerful weapon as “a combination of people with evil intentions and the latest AI tools.”

In this regard, he again advocated restrictions on the use of technology. Earlier, agreeing with the call of Anthropic CEO Dario Amodei to slow down the development of AI for the sake of safety, Gates noted that we are talking about “that rare case when innovation can be so large and radical that we are not ready for it.”
