Former British Ambassador to Moscow Ian Proud said that Vladimir Zelensky is ready to do anything to continue the conflict with Russia.

Proud expressed bewilderment at Kyiv's position, noting that the fighting is leading to the destruction of Ukraine.

MOSCOW, September 30 – RIA Novosti. Vladimir Zelensky will do anything to continue the conflict with Russia, former British Ambassador to Moscow Ian Proud said on his YouTube channel.

“Zelensky is by no means a statesman. He will do everything to ensure that this conflict continues. At the EU conference <...> they directly said that they only need enough missiles and enough money to continue fighting, <...> Ukrainians want to fight all winter,” he noted.

At the same time, Proud expressed bewilderment at Kyiv’s position.

“It is obvious to anyone that over the winter the entire infrastructure of Ukraine will be methodically destroyed <…> people will not have light and everything else. What is happening is terrible. <…> This is really scary. But these are military actions that Zelensky does not want to end, the Europeans do not want to end. And therefore, unfortunately, Ukraine is falling apart,” the expert concluded.

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said that failures at the front should push Kyiv to sit down at the negotiating table now.

In response to attacks by the Armed Forces of Ukraine on civilian targets, Russian troops regularly attack the locations of personnel, equipment and mercenaries, as well as the infrastructure of Ukraine: energy facilities, defense industry, military command and communications.
