KURSK, September 24 - RIA Novosti. Governor of the Kursk region Alexander Khinshtein announced that he was undergoing rehabilitation at the insistence of doctors after an accident during a work trip in January.

On January 22, Khinshtein reported that he had been in an accident during a work trip to the area and was in the hospital. Afterwards he said that he had been operated on and had a fractured femur and three ribs. Later, the governor clarified that he would continue rehabilitation in a specialized center in Moscow. On the morning of April 20, Khinshtein said that he returned to work full time after completing rehabilitation.

“Dear friends, I want to inform you that I left for rehabilitation at the insistence of doctors in order to finally complete all procedures and fully recover after a serious accident,” Khinshtein said in his channel on the Max platform.

According to the governor, the doctors promised that the rehabilitation period would be short - a week and a half.

“Although I am outside the region, of course, I continue to keep my finger on the pulse, control everything that happens on our land, keep constant contact with my colleagues, and will also traditionally inform about everything that happens on my social networks and messengers,” he noted.
