The fire at the electrical substation in Yerevan has been extinguished, about five thousand subscribers were left without electricity

The fire at one of the electrical substations in Yerevan has been extinguished, press secretary of the Armenian Ministry of Internal Affairs Narek Sargsyan said.

“Thanks to the prompt actions of fire rescuers, the fire that broke out at the electrical substation on the Tsitsernakaberd highway in Yerevan was extinguished at 21.10 (20.10 Moscow time),” Sargsyan wrote on the social network Facebook*.

According to him, a watch has been established at the substation.

Earlier, Sargsyan said that the fire was localized at 19.10 Moscow time. He informed that while fighting the fire, two firefighters were poisoned by carbon monoxide, one of them was hospitalized, the second received medical assistance on the spot.

According to the Electric Networks of Armenia company, as a result of the fire, about five thousand subscribers in the center of Yerevan were left without electricity.
