The State Duma ruled out a new mobilization due to an increase in the number of the Russian Armed Forces

There is no reason to worry about a new mobilization due to an increase in the staffing level of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, said Andrei Kolesnik, a member of the State Duma Committee on Defense. The deputy reported this in a conversation with Lenta.ru.

“The number of staff increases due to conscription, due to contracts. The staffing table does not depend in any way [on mobilization]. These are completely different things. So there is no cause for concern here,” Kolesnik noted.

Earlier, Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a decree increasing the number of personnel of the Armed Forces (AF) of the Russian Federation to 2,441,630 people. The number of military personnel increased by 15,500.
