The former head of the Skolkovo technology park, Renat Batyrov, received eight years in prison for mediation in a bribe.

The Kuntsevsky District Court of Moscow announced a verdict against the former head of the Skolkovo technology park, Renat Batyrov, in a bribery case. This was reported by Lenta.ru's own correspondent from the courtroom.

In addition to Batyrov, the second defendant, 44-year-old businessman Andrei Mamontov, was also in the dock. Both were found guilty under Part 4 of Article 291.1 (“Mediation in bribery, committed by a group of persons by prior conspiracy, on an especially large scale”) of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation.

Batyrov received eight years in prison with a fine of 25 million rubles, and Mamontov received seven years with a fine of 15 million rubles. The men will serve their sentences in a maximum security colony.

As the court found, in 2025 the defendants entered into a conspiracy, knowing that a businessman they knew was interested in receiving additional funding for the development of business activities. They informed him that they could help him secure a preferential loan from the Industrial Development Fund for transferring five million rubles through them.

Law enforcement officers detained them while receiving money from the businessman.
