Yunlin Liangpin entered the Italian Slow Food Festival, and deputy county magistrate Chen Bijun led a delegation to expand into the European market

Global Slow Food Festival "2026 Terra Madre Salone del Gusto" debuted in Turin, Italy on the 24th. Yunlin County, led by deputy county magistrate Chen Bijun, participated in the exhibition and joined hands with the University of Nanhua, Yunlin Slow Food Community and 8 local brands to bring "Yunlin Good Products" to the international stage. On the first day of the launch, it attracted visitors from all over the world to try it, and they were deeply impressed by the flavor and quality. Some people directly asked, "Where can I buy it in Europe?" Yunlin saw new business opportunities to expand the European market.

The 2026 Global Slow Food Festival focuses on issues such as global food security, sustainable agriculture, low-carbon diet and local culture, attracting approximately 1,500 Slow Food network representatives and more than 600 producers and exhibitors from more than 120 countries around the world.

The Yunlin exhibition area brings together eight brands, including Shuilin Xiaoheinong, Yuhe Farm, Yudingxing, Shuncheng Oil Factory, Songyue Coffee, Tea Rice Country, TGC Coffee and Fuyun Rice. Through displays, tastings and origin stories, Yunlin's high-quality rice, specialty coffee, traditional food processing and specialty agricultural products are introduced, allowing international visitors to understand Yunlin agriculture through "eating".

Chen Bijun said that Yunlin is an important agricultural, fishery, livestock and animal husbandry production base in Taiwan. This is the first time that Yunlin has led a delegation to participate in the international Slow Food event. It not only brings agricultural products abroad, but also hopes to understand global sustainable agriculture and consumer market trends through international exchanges, so that Yunlin's agricultural transformation and local brands can go further.

Chen Bijun pointed out that on the first day of the event, Zhang Lingyin, president of the Taiwanese Chamber of Commerce in Italy, and Chris Cottone, founder of the Italian Chamber of Commerce in Taipei, also came to taste Yunlin’s high-quality products. They affirmed the performance of the products and expressed their willingness to help connect European business and channel resources. Many international friends even took the initiative to inquire about purchasing channels, allowing the team to see the possibility of Yunlin’s agricultural products entering the European market.

Chen Bijun said that the European market attaches great importance to quality, food safety, origin traceability and sustainable value. In the future, it will evaluate food regulations, product labeling, logistics and transportation, channel cooperation, etc., and gradually find a model for Yunlin's high-quality products to enter the European market, so that Yunlin's agricultural products can move from "Taiwan's granary" to the world's dining tables.
