CCTV News (News Network): Data released by the Ministry of Commerce show that in the first seven months of this year, my country's service trade maintained rapid growth. Knowledge-intensive services and traditional service exports work together to drive the continuous optimization of the service trade structure.

Data show that in the first seven months of this year, my country's total service import and export volume was 4.44671 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 8.3%. Among them, service exports were 1,773.23 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 17.1%.

From a structural perspective, knowledge-intensive service exports account for more than half, becoming an important support for the growth of service trade. As digital technology accelerates the application of digital technology and cultural products and services “go global”, the technological content and added value of my country’s services trade continue to increase. Data show that in the first seven months of this year, the export of personal cultural and entertainment services and intellectual property royalties grew rapidly, with growth rates reaching 57.8% and 42.1% respectively.

Exports of traditional services also maintained rapid growth. Driven by policies such as visa-free facilitation and departure tax rebates, the export of travel services increased by 27.7% year-on-year in the first seven months of this year. Supported by the growth in goods trade and global logistics demand, the export of transportation services increased by 27.1% in the first seven months of this year year-on-year. The two items together contributed more than 50% to the growth of overall service exports.
