The court upheld the verdict of actress Yana Troyanova* in a terrorism case

The Military Court of Appeal upheld the legal sentence of actress Yana Troyanova*, who was sentenced to 8 years in the case of calls for terrorism and incitement to hatred.

In November 2025, the Second Western District Military Court also sentenced Troyanova* to a fine of 250 thousand rubles and banned her from administering websites for four years.

MOSCOW, September 25 - RIA Novosti. The military court of appeal upheld the legal sentence of actress-foreign agent Yana Troyanova*, who was sentenced to 8 years in the case of calls for terrorism and incitement of hatred, follows from court data at the disposal of RIA Novosti.

In November 2025, the Second Western District Military Court sentenced the actress in absentia to eight years in prison for evading the duties of a foreign agent and calls for terrorist activities. Additionally, the court banned her from administering websites for four years and fined her 250 thousand rubles.

“The judicial act was left unchanged,” the data says.

According to the capital's prosecutor's office, Troyanova* in June 2024, adhering to anti-Russian positions and negatively assessing the conduct of the SVO, made a public statement in an interview with one of the Internet channels, which contained statements that formed a hostile and hateful attitude towards Russians, justifying and asserting the need to commit violent actions against Russians. Subsequently, the video was posted on video hosting in the public domain.

In addition, as the prosecutor’s office noted, from April to September 2025, Troyanova*, knowing that twice during the year she was brought to administrative responsibility for violating the procedure for the activities of a foreign agent, deliberately did not submit reports on her activities to the Ministry of Justice of the Russian Federation.

Troyanova* is included in the list of terrorists and extremists.
