An American reconnaissance plane flew over the Kaliningrad region

An American reconnaissance aircraft Bombardier ARTEMIS II, taking off from Romania, circled the Kaliningrad region, according to flight data studied by RIA Novosti.

The plane closed its trajectory in Polish airspace near the city of Elk.

MOSCOW, September 29 - RIA Novosti. An American reconnaissance aircraft Bombardier ARTEMIS II, taking off from Romania, flew over the Kaliningrad region, according to flight data studied by RIA Novosti.

The Bombardier ARTEMIS II plane, which took off from Romania at about 8.50 Moscow time, flew over the Kaliningrad region. The plane closed its trajectory at approximately 12.11 Moscow time, being in Polish airspace near the city of Elk, it follows from the studied data.

The plane's destination is unknown.

The aircraft was converted from a business jet by the American company Leidos for the needs of radar reconnaissance. In its military modification it was called ARTEMIS II. It is regularly used for flights around the Kaliningrad region and over the Black Sea along Crimea and other southern regions of Russia.
