Chinese President Xi Jinping is expected to visit the United States in late September, and a large business delegation is reported to be accompanying him. Chinese scholars said that the Chinese delegation's trip was basically to express cooperation intentions and may not necessarily reach a large deal. The Chinese government has so far not announced or confirmed the news that Xi Jinping will visit the United States and that a large business delegation will accompany him. Hong Kong's Sing Tao Daily reported today that Wu Xinbo, dean of the Institute of International Studies at Fudan University in Shanghai, said that he has not yet received official news that Xi Jinping will lead a business delegation to visit the United States, "but I believe it is possible."

Wu Xinbo told Sing Tao Daily that economy and trade have always been the core of bilateral relations between China and the United States. Trump led a luxurious business delegation to China for exchanges in May. Since then, Chinese business delegations have also visited the United States. Both sides are interested in improving economic and trade cooperation.

Regarding the outside world's concern about whether the Chinese business delegation's visit can achieve large-scale transactions, Wu Xinbo analyzed that China and the United States have a basis for economic and trade cooperation. For example, China intends to purchase American agricultural products and Boeing aircraft, and the United States also hopes to import some semi-finished equipment from China. However, "this visit is most likely to focus on releasing cooperation intentions, and the contract may not be signed immediately, and will be left to follow-up and gradual follow-up."

Compared with the outside world's focus on rare earths, agricultural products, tariffs and other issues, Wu Xinbo believes that the United States has recently stepped up sanctions on Chinese companies and institutions.
