Today (28th) is the consecutive holiday of the Mid-Autumn Festival and Teacher's Day. The High Commissioner for Public Affairs of the Ministry of Transport stated that the key congested road sections this morning are expected to be the northbound Yilan to Pinglin section of the National 5 National Highway 5. From 1 to 6 p.m., the National Highway 5 Su'ao, Luodong, Yilan and Toucheng northbound entrances will have high occupancy control. People are advised to leave early.

The High Power Public Security Bureau stated that the current road conditions across the country are generally normal. As of 7 a.m., the traffic volume was 12.6 million vehicle kilometers. The traffic volume is estimated to be 105 million vehicle kilometers today. Among them, the key congested road sections this morning are the National 5 northbound Yilan to Pinglin and other sections; today's relevant diversion measures include: 12 to At 21:00, the northbound entrances of the National 1 Huwei and Puyan systems and the National 3 West Coast will be closed; from 13:00 to 18:00, the northbound entrances of the National 5 Su'ao, Luodong, Yilan and Toucheng will be under high-occupancy control; a single rate, a single rate from the National 3 Hsinchu system to the Yanchao system will be charged at a 20% discount, open shoulders, alternative roads, ramp instrument control, etc.

The High Power Public Security Bureau pointed out that yesterday’s traffic volume was 115.8 million vehicle kilometers, 1.2 times the annual average (93 million vehicle kilometers).
