Relatives of the man who disappeared after the fire on the Triumph ship in Kamchatka hope for his survival

After a fire on the Triumph ship in Kamchatka, four people went missing, including student Ivan Proshin.

Ivan Proshin's relatives hope that he could survive by reaching the compartments where smoke does not reach.

According to the maritime rescue service, smoke is still present on the ship.

VLADIVOSTOK, September 28 - RIA Novosti. The relatives of student Ivan Proshin, who disappeared after a fire on the Triumph ship in Kamchatka, hope that he could survive by reaching compartments where smoke does not reach, his sister Anna Proshina told RIA Novosti.

Earlier, she told the agency that after the fire, her cousin, a student at the Vladivostok Marine Fisheries College, Ivan Proshin, disappeared, as well as a 44-year-old sailor from Arsenyev and a fourth-year student at the Nevelskoy Moscow State University. Anna said that Ivan contacted his family a couple of days before the fire, he was already preparing to go home.

“We believe that some kind of miracle will happen. Many sailors wrote to me that on this ship there are such places, such compartments that if he somehow got there, he could stay there, where there is no smoke or water, and there is a chance,” the interlocutor said.

She noted that, according to information from the maritime rescue service, smoke on the ship still persists.
