The Triumph ship, which caught fire in Kamchatka, was undergoing repairs, said the sister of one of the missing crew members, Anna Proshina.

The crew had already been decommissioned from the ship.

VLADIVOSTOK, September 28 - RIA Novosti. The Triumph ship, which caught fire in Kamchatka, was undergoing repairs, the sister of one of the missing crew members, Anna Proshina, told RIA Novosti.

Earlier, she told the agency that after the fire, her cousin, a student at the Vladivostok Marine Fisheries College, Ivan Proshin, disappeared, as well as a 44-year-old sailor from Arsenyev and a fourth-year student at Nevelskoy Moscow State University. Anna said that Ivan contacted his family a couple of days before the fire, he was already preparing to go home.

“They were going to put the ship down for repairs. And so they (the crew – ed.) had already all been written off from the ship,” the interlocutor noted.
