The Central Election Commission of the Russian Federation approved the results of the elections to the State Duma of the ninth convocation

Five parties are entering the State Duma of the ninth convocation on party lists and will be able to form their own factions: United Russia, Communist Party of the Russian Federation, Liberal Democratic Party of Russia, New People and A Just Russia.

Based on the results of voting in the federal district, these parties exceeded the threshold of 5% of the votes required for their candidates to pass to the State Duma on party lists. In addition, representatives of United Russia, the Communist Party of the Russian Federation, the Liberal Democratic Party of Russia, A Just Russia, the Rodina party and several self-nominated candidates are elected to the Duma based on the results of voting in single-mandate constituencies.

The Central Election Commission of Russia on Friday approved the results of the elections of deputies to the State Duma of the ninth convocation. According to the Chairman of the Central Election Commission of the Russian Federation, Ella Pamfilova, United Russia received 349 mandates as a result of the elections (140 in the federal and 209 in single-mandate constituencies).

The Communist Party of the Russian Federation secures 37 seats in the State Duma of the new convocation, having received 32 mandates based on voting results in the federal district and another 5 in single-mandate districts, the LDPR received 23 mandates (21 in the federal and 2 in single-mandate districts). The New People party sent 19 of its representatives to parliament, receiving all these mandates based on the results of voting for the party list.

Based on the election results, A Just Russia receives 17 mandates (13 in federal and 4 in single-mandate constituencies). Also, seats in the State Duma of the ninth convocation, based on the results of elections in single-mandate districts, were given to four self-nominated candidates, and another seat to a candidate from the Rodina party.

Elections of deputies to the State Duma of the ninth convocation and other elections combined with them were held from September 18 to 20. In total, on a single voting day in 2026, 20.7 thousand deputy mandates and elective positions were filled. Russian President Vladimir Putin previously called the State Duma elections the most important domestic political event in the country.
