Trump said, "We will honor their lives, cherish their beautiful memories, and protect this country for every generation that follows. We will protect it like never before. There are no words that can truly express the pain of that day for all who lived it."

In his speech, Trump expressed condolences to the families of the victims of the "9/11" incident and paid tribute to rescue workers, law enforcement personnel and military personnel.
