The organizers of the criminal group at Sheremetyevo admitted guilt

One of the founders of the criminal community that stole money from SVO participants at Sheremetyevo airport and his accomplice fully admitted guilt, the press service of the RF IC reported.

The investigation established that in 2022-2024, the criminal group stole money from participants in a special military operation and other citizens arriving at Sheremetyevo airport. The criminals offered the victims a taxi and, as a result of the trip, unreasonably inflated the cost - up to 200 thousand rubles. Passengers were threatened if they refused. The defendants also persuaded the victims to drink alcohol and stole money from them.

According to the investigation, the structure of the criminal community included several structural units with a total number of at least 44 active participants.

At present, the investigation has been completed against three defendants in the case - the alleged organizer of the organized crime group Alexei Kabochkin, as well as Sergei Airapetov and Alexander Troshin. Depending on their role, they are charged with “leadership of a criminal community and its structural units,” “participation in a criminal community,” “robbery committed by an organizing group,” “fraud committed by an organizing group,” “robbery committed by an organizing group,” as well as “extortion committed by an organizing group” and “theft committed by an organizing group.”

“Investigators have collected comprehensive evidence, under the weight of which Kabochkin and Airapetov fully admitted their guilt in all the crimes charged against them. The criminal case has been sent to trial,” the department said.
