Kang Gyeong-sook, Jeonbuk Provincial Chairman of the Fatherland Innovation Party, declares the goal of an ‘alternative red team’

(Jeonju = Yonhap News) Reporter Lim Chae-du = Kang Kyung-sook, chairman of the Jeonbuk Special Self-Governing Province Party of the Fatherland Innovation Party, said on the 15th, "The Fatherland Innovation Party will aim to be an alternative red team amidst the dominance of the Democratic Party of Korea and will take root in Jeonbuk."

He, who was elected as the new provincial party chairman last month, emphasized this at a press conference at the Jeonbuk Provincial Council on this day, saying, "When the Lee Jae-myung government's (policy) direction is wrong or wrong, I want to guide it correctly and clearly show that color in Jeonbuk as well."

Provincial Party Chairman Kang added, “We have produced 17 basic lawmakers in the previous local elections, playing the role of the opposition party both in name and reality.” He added, “We will play the role of a ‘catfish’ to point out and clean up Jeonbuk’s problems.”

Regarding the future general elections, he emphasized, "Recruiting talented people is important," and "To be honest, there were people who were in the Democratic Party and came to the Innovation Party (in this local election) because things were not going well. We will work diligently to find people who strongly agree with the party's values."

In addition, Provincial Party Chairman Kang, a member of the National Assembly (proportional representation), said, “I have lived in Iksan for 18 years,” and hoped to run for Iksan as a constituency in the next general election.
