There are no full negotiations between the United States and Iran yet, but the parties maintain informal contacts.

A new round of indirect contacts between Washington and Tehran is taking place through the mediation of Qatar.

The discussion is centered on an update to Iran's proposed seven-day plan to end hostilities and then reopen the Strait of Hormuz, as well as resuming negotiations on Iran's nuclear program.

UN, September 29 - RIA Novosti. There are no full-fledged negotiations between the United States and Iran yet, but the parties maintain informal contacts that could lead to a resumption of dialogue, IAEA Director General Rafael Grossi said in an interview with RIA Novosti.

“Right now there is no negotiation process as such. There are individual contacts, including here in New York, including this week. They are still of a purely informal nature, but, I hope, lead to a resumption of dialogue,” Grossi said, answering a question about US efforts to establish negotiations with Iran through intermediaries.
