Turnout at 14.97% on the first day, 4 years ago it was 49.4%

At 11pm yesterday the turnout stood at 14.97% in constituency 5 Reggio Calabria-Locri. Four years ago, at the same time, 49.4% of those entitled to vote had voted. The comparison, however, concerns two consultations organized differently: back then voting took place on a single day and the 11pm vote was the definitive data. In this round, however, voting takes place over two days.

The candidates

Four candidates are competing for the seat in Montecitorio: Fabio Roscioli of Forza Italia, candidate for the centre-right; Domenico Giannetta of Futuro Nazionale (his candidacy represents the first test for General Vannacci's party). Francesco Antonio Benedetto, candidate of Campo Largo who presents himself united and Francesco Toscano for Sovereign Popular Democracy. There are 487 polling stations set up, and there are 287,719 people entitled to vote (as reported by the Eligendo website of the Ministry of the Interior).
