The US-China AI race: Is the world becoming more dangerous or safer?

Such concerns have triggered calls for the United States to take coordinated action to slow down the development of AI. But at the same time, some people question whether it is really necessary to set up regulatory "guardrails" for AI. US President Trump is one of them. He believes that if the United States slows down the pace of AI development, it may hand over its dominance in this technology field to its competitors.

At the same time, China's AI industry is accelerating almost simultaneously with the United States, although the United States has been trying to limit the speed of China's technological development.

Chinese AI services such as DeepSeek and Moonshot indicate that Chinese competitors may already be on par with the United States’ cutting-edge AI laboratories in terms of capabilities.
