Reorganized to focus on marine and AI… 49 organizations from 18 countries participated

(Busan = Yonhap News) Reporter Kim Seon-ho = Busan City announced on the 29th that it will hold the Asian Startup Expo 'Fly Asia 2026' at BEXCO on the 7th and 8th of next month.

This event, which marks its 5th anniversary this year, will completely revamp the event content with a focus on marine and artificial intelligence (AI), Busan's strategic industries, in accordance with the pledges of the 9th popular election, and expand opportunities for exchange between domestic and foreign start-ups and investors.

The size of the event venue was expanded 1.5 times compared to the previous year, and 49 organizations from 18 countries participated in the global pavilion and marine special pavilion, making it the largest event ever.

Starting with the opening ceremony, this event will include a special maritime pavilion, a conference, a limited liability investor (LP) forum, a global pavilion, and one-on-one consultations.

The opening ceremony will be attended by major domestic and foreign figures and startup ecosystem officials, and will be held in the order of theme video screening, performance, congratulatory address, and keynote speech.

In the maritime field, a new ‘Maritime Special Hall’ will be operated jointly with Korea National Maritime and Ocean University.

'Marine Innovation Reverse Pitching', where large and medium-sized marine companies present necessary technologies and business demands and connect with related start-ups, and 'National Marine Startup Contest', which discovers and supports marine start-ups, will also be held.

We operate specialized ocean-themed programs such as marine environment discussions and entrepreneurship competitions for middle school students.

The 'LED digital exhibition', which promotes companies and items without a physical booth, will also be introduced for the first time.
