"WE DO NOT LEAVE YOU ALONE AFTER MARRIAGE"
Stating that they carry out many family-oriented studies throughout Türkiye, Göktaş stated that supporting young people to establish a home on the way to marriage is valuable and important for them. Minister Göktaş continued his words as follows: "Our esteemed President had a promise to our youth. He wanted 'Let's carry out studies to enable our young people to establish a home and realize their dreams'. Therefore, we created our Family and Youth Fund in 2024 with the strong support of our Parliament. At first, we started it in the earthquake zone as a pilot project. After starting it in 5 provinces in the earthquake zone, we continued it in 3 more provinces with the lowest fertility rate. With the 2025 Family Year, we will extend this project to all of Türkiye." We made it widespread." Reminding that they organize a 2-day training program for couples before they get married within the scope of the Family and Youth Fund, Göktaş said, "We do not leave you alone after marriage. We visit and come together. Because we know that establishing a home is very precious and precious." he said.

Pointing out that divorce rates increase in the first 5 years of marriage, Minister Göktaş stated that they organize training programs in order to be with young couples, guide them and support them in establishing a solid home. Reminding that the amount of maternity allowance has been updated within the scope of the Family Year, Minister Göktaş said: "We provide 5 thousand liras for our first child, 1500 liras per month for our second child, and a regular 5 thousand liras every month for our third and subsequent children until the children turn 5. Here, our young people who benefit from the Family and Youth Fund receive a 48-month loan with a 2-year grace period and zero interest. Couples who have a child within 2 years must pay the loan within 12 months." "We are postponing it, we are granting this loan completely to those who have 2 children, because we also have twins throughout Türkiye." Minister Mahinur Özdemir Göktaş said that 222 thousand young people were married throughout Türkiye and 22 thousand babies were born.
Emphasizing that digitalization is at the very center of life, Göktaş advised young people to keep their tables wide and to always make room for one more person at their table. Stating that families are the strongest aspect of civilization, Göktaş said, "We will continue to move forward with the 'Family and Population 10 Year' vision with our always strong families in the coming years. Our population is aging. I regret to say that 58 percent of our households do not have children under the age of 18. This means that we are aging faster and the number of children is quite low." he said. Pointing out that important steps have been taken in many areas in the field of defense industry, industry and infrastructure, Göktaş said, "However, the silence of the houses should worry us too. With this support we offer, we say 'let us have some salt in the soup' to young couples like you and young people who want to start a family." he said.

Stating that they will continue to support young people, Göktaş said: "We did not end this support here. We said, 'Loan payments are postponed for 12 months for those who have children within 2 years.' At the same time, we gave priority to our friends in this group at İŞKUR. Another new work of ours is that you, young people, are one of the groups that are given priority in social housing. We promised that our young people, who benefit from marriage loans, will be prioritized in our social housing projects and in the social housing projects implemented by our Ministry of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change. This is in Istanbul. Applications have started. Hopefully, we will continue to build strong families in safe homes in the future."
