8 district mayors from CHP resigned in Ankara

Following the resignation of Ankara Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Mansur Yavaş from CHP membership, resignations from district mayors came one after another.

Kalecik Mayor Satulmuş Karakoç, Güdül Mayor Mehmet Doğanay, Polatlı Mayor Mürsel Yıldızkaya, Ayaş Mayor İzzet Demircioğlu, Şereflikoçhisar Mayor Mustafa Koçak, Beypazarı Mayor Özer Kasap and Elmadağ Mayor Adem Barış Aşkın announced their resignations from CHP.

'I WILL CONTINUE WALKING WITH MANSUR YAVAŞ'

While Beypazarı Mayor Kasap said, "I stand behind the promises I made to my fellow citizens who trusted and supported me on this path we set out with our Mayor Mansur Yavaş. I will continue to serve in the district where I was elected, without any discrimination, with the same perseverance, determination and understanding of responsibility, as I have done so far." Kalecik Mayor Karakoç stated that he will continue to walk next to Mansur Yavaş.

Güdül Mayor Doğanay stated in his message, "In the future, I will continue to walk the road together with our Ankara Metropolitan Municipality Mayor, Mr. Mansur Yavaş, and serve our fellow citizens."

Polatlı Mayor Yıldızkaya also said, "I submit to the public's discretion that we will continue our political path and services independently together with Mr. Mansur Yavaş."

Ayaş Mayor İzzet Demircioğlu and Şereflikoçhisar Mayor Mustafa Koçak also stated in their statement on their virtual media accounts that they will continue to walk together with Mansur Yavaş.

ALSO A RESIGNATION FROM ELMADAĞ

Elmadağ Mayor Adem Barış Aşkın also announced his resignation from CHP on his social media account. In his message, Aşkın said, "Dear Elmadağli Citizens, Today, I am resigning from my membership in the Republican People's Party, and I present to the public that I have decided to continue my duty independently. Best regards." he said.

NALLIHAN MAYOR GÜNGÖR ALSO RESIGNED FROM CHP

Ankara's Nallıhan Mayor Ertunç Güngör announced that he resigned from CHP in his statement on his virtual media account. Güngör said, "For me, before belonging to a political party, it is about protecting the trust given to me by the people of Nallıhan. From now on, I will continue to serve every citizen living in Nallıhan without any discrimination. I will determine my next political road map together with my companions by taking the opinions, suggestions and advice of our fellow citizens."
