Carl Orff's 'Carmina Burana' was staged at the Aspendos Opera and Ballet Festival

At the "Aspendos Opera and Ballet Festival" held for the 33rd time this year in Antalya, German composer Carl Orff's "Carmina Burana" stage cantata, one of the magnificent works of the music world, was staged under the direction of 22-year-old Maximilian Cem Haberstock.

The festival meets with art lovers for the 33rd time at the Aspendos Ancient Theater by the General Directorate of State Opera and Ballet of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism.

The huge cast of 250 people, including the Antalya State Opera and Ballet orchestra, soloists, choir, children's choir, ballet and modern dance troupes, under the direction of Haberstock, who is among the promising young artists of his generation with his rapidly rising international career in the field of opera as well as the symphonic repertoire, took part on the same stage for Carmina Burana.

The choreographic stage cantata "Carmina Burana", the first work of the Trionfi (Victories) trilogy, inspired by about 200 poems and songs found in a monastery near Munich by German composer Carl Orff, was brought to the stage with a comprehensive show that brought together the orchestra, ballet, soloists and choir.

The work will meet art lovers for the second time at the Aspendos Ancient Theater on September 21.
