Knife attack in Nowy Targ: Suspect charged with attempted murder

The incident took place on September 15 in Nowy Targ (Lesser Poland Voivodeship). According to investigators, the attacker used a knife and struck both men numerous times.

The victims suffered serious injuries, including damage to internal organs and arms and legs. As doctors emphasize, "the injuries seriously damaged their health and directly threatened their lives."

A quick reaction saved a life

Emergency services quickly arrived at the scene. Thanks to the immediate help of witnesses and specialized medical care, the lives of both victims were saved. The police immediately began searching for the perpetrator.

The 45-year-old was arrested shortly after the attack. Based on the evidence collected, the man was charged with two counts of attempted murder.

At the request of the District Prosecutor's Office in Nowy Targ, the court decided to impose a three-month detention for the 45-year-old.
