Selahattin Yılmaz, who was detained for allegedly preparing an armed attack against Aziz İhsan Aktaş, was released

Selahattin Yılmaz, who was detained for approximately 13 months on the grounds that he was preparing an armed attack against Aziz İhsan Aktaş, was released from Silivri Prison yesterday after the execution procedures were completed. After his release, Yılmaz visited MHP Chairman Devlet Bahçeli in his office.

Last Friday, the release decision was made for Yılmaz and Cem Duman, following an objection to their detention. While Duman was released after the decision, Yılmaz remained in prison because he was convicted in another case. Thus, the release decision was given four days later for the two defendants, whose detention was decided to continue in the first hearing of the case.
