In order to improve the urban traffic environment and revitalize public spaces, Hsinchu Mayor Gao Hong Anjin led a city government team to Sanmin Park to inspect the scheduled location of the "Sanmin Park Underground Parking Lot Construction Project" and observe traffic routes. He said that referring to the successful cases of three-dimensional multi-purpose use of parks in other counties and cities in China, the main purpose The main model is to develop the parking space underground, and reshape the landscape and recreational facilities for all ages above ground. Therefore, this project adheres to the core design concept of "cars below, life above". It is expected to build a two-story underground parking lot below the park, providing more than 200 car seats, and retaining the existing tennis court.
Gao Hongan pointed out that Sanmin Park is close to the Jucheng shopping district, Sanmin Greenway, fruit and vegetable markets and dense residential school areas, and has been facing problems of traffic flow and illegal parking in the surrounding areas for many years. The city government team rethought the spatial relationship between parks and parking, and effectively accommodated the city's parking needs through the two underground floors. The ground floor fully maintained the green space and updated its appearance. It integrated the existing tennis courts and created recreational lawns, tree-lined walkways, street corner squares, etc., allowing the park green space to truly return to citizens' daily life.
Gao Hongan added that through the three-dimensional integration of the park and the underground parking lot, this project also hopes that the subsequent design will allow light and greenery to penetrate deep underground, so that the natural elements of the park will not only stay on the ground, but also guide sunlight and air to naturally enter the underground layer through lighting, ventilation and space design, breaking the dark and closed impression of the traditional underground parking lot, and greatly improving ventilation and lighting. In addition, the parking lot has fully introduced smart parking management equipment such as parking space occupancy detection, license plate recognition, multi-payment and charging piles, and plans to set up barrier-free and special parking spaces for women and children.
Gao Hong'an said that during the on-site inspection, the Transportation Department has been instructed to speed up the design and bidding process for the construction of the Sanmin Park underground parking lot. During the subsequent planning and design, public opinions must be listened to, and geological drilling and key information such as the Longen Town water system have been arranged to overcome possible difficulties in the construction and be prepared during the planning and design stage to speed up the subsequent design and planning operations, hoping to provide citizens with a livable environment that combines convenient parking with comfortable greenery.
