Maternity benefit statement from Minister Göktaş: September payments have been deposited into accounts

In his written statement, Minister Göktaş stated that a total of 1 million 355 thousand 110 children have benefited from birth benefits so far, and regular payments have been made every month for 788 thousand 573 children of two, three or more.

Stating that 566 thousand 537 of the children benefiting from the aid are the first children, Minister Göktaş noted that 413 thousand 806 are the second children and 374 thousand 767 are the third children and above.

Stating that 31 thousand 493 people among the beneficiaries have twins or more, Göktaş reminded that the amount of birth allowance has been updated within the scope of the 2025 Family Year, and as of January 1, 2025, a one-time support of 5 thousand liras is given to the first child born, 1500 liras per month for the second child, and 5 thousand liras per month for three and subsequent children.

Emphasizing that one of the important supports given to citizens during the 10th Year of Family and Population is birth aid, Göktaş said:

"In this context, we have deposited the September maternity aid payments to the mothers' accounts as of today. Thus, we have made a payment of 27.6 billion lira to the accounts of a total of 1 million 320 thousand 760 mothers who have benefited from birth aid to date. As the Ministry, we will continue our work to strengthen healthy, conscious families with sustainable support mechanisms that encourage family formation. I hope the payments will be beneficial to all our families."

Minister Göktaş stated that applications for birth aid are received through e-Government and the "My First Teacher is My Family" mobile application, and that the information on the payment of birth aid for families whose applications are approved can be accessed through the "My First Teacher is My Family" mobile application.

Göktaş informed that the maternity allowance payments are deposited into accounts through Halkbank and reminded that the payments will continue uninterrupted until the children turn 5 years old.
