Speaking at the opening of TEKNOFEST Blue Homeland, organized at Gölcük Shipyard Command under the main leadership of the Ministry of National Defense and the Turkish Technology Team Foundation (T3 Foundation), Güler wished that the organization would open new horizons for young people and carry Türkiye's technological and maritime vision even further.
Güler emphasized that maritime has always had an important place in the deep-rooted history of the country and that the noble nation has pioneered the developments in this field with many great sailors trained, and said that they continue to work with all their strength to further enrich the vast maritime heritage we have today.
Stating that Türkiye has made a historical transformation in the defense industry and high technology fields in recent years under the visionary leadership of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, one of the strongest reflections of this great transformation is undoubtedly the distinguished level reached by the Naval Forces, Güler said:
"Today, our heroic Navy continues its duty as an effective, deterrent and respected force in protecting our rights and interests in our Blue Homeland with its qualified personnel, modern force structure, national ships, submarines, unmanned systems and constantly developing technological capabilities. As the Ministry of National Defense, our goal is to raise the possibilities and capabilities of our heroic army, including our Navy, to higher levels. At this point, we are aware that we need to raise the strong level we have reached in the domestic and national defense industry by adapting to today's and tomorrow's technologies in the fastest way possible. "This is only possible by determining the needs correctly, using our resources effectively and, of course, by ensuring that our young people, who are the representatives of our bright future, can reveal their potential in the most accurate way."
Güler pointed out that organizations such as TEKNOFEST also play an important role in helping young people reveal their potential, and noted that TEKNOFESTs have become a very valuable platform that brings young people together with different fields of science and technology, spreads the culture of production to all segments of society, and trains the human resources of the National Technology Move.
Stating that 1 million 600 thousand competitors applied to TEKNOFEST competitions this year is a clear indication of this, Güler said, "This great journey, which started with the dream of the late Özdemir Bayraktar, 'Let a child come and touch an airplane', which is an important cornerstone of our local and national defense industry journey, has today turned into a strong movement where hundreds of thousands of young people like you meet with science, engineering, technology and the excitement of production. We know very well that this TEKNOFEST Blue that we organize is "The Homeland event will be a valuable gain on the path to your dreams by allowing our young people to meet with the distinguished platforms of our navy, from TCG Anadolu to our submarines." he said.
Güler pointed out that every idea and project put forward in the unmanned underwater systems, underwater rocket and unmanned marine vehicle competitions to be held here will be a new step towards the marine technologies of the future, and explained that the excitement, determination and self-confidence displayed by the TEKNOFEST generation makes them proud and strengthens their belief in Türkiye's bright future.
Stating that their duty is to support the great potential that young people have, to create opportunities for them to achieve their dreams, and to build a strong ecosystem where they can turn ideas into projects and projects into technologies that will add value to Türkiye, Güler said that in this context, as the Ministry, they strongly support the projects produced by young people.
Güler stated that they are very happy to see that young people's interest in science and technology, their excitement for production and their desire to take responsibility for Türkiye's future are getting stronger day by day and continued as follows:
"To progress much faster in these fields and to cover a lot of ground in a short time, visionary young people like you have great responsibilities. Because raising our young people as self-confident individuals who research, design, produce and lead original projects will be one of the most important guarantees of our goal of a strong and independent Turkey. Do not forget that a project you will develop today, a software you will design or an innovative idea you will come up with can turn into one of the strategic capabilities of tomorrow. Türkiye's real power in the field of technology is your curiosity, your determination to work, It will increase even more with your courage and will to think big. Working within this framework should be the main philosophy of your life, and patience and discipline should be two virtues that you can never give up on this path. Do not forget that it is not the force of water that pierces the stone, but the continuity of the drops."
While doing these, Güler advised young people to give importance to teamwork, develop cooperation and solidarity, and benefit from different perspectives, and stated that young people can achieve greater success by working together and supporting each other.
