VKontakte leads in terms of time spent by Russian users on the Internet

The social network VKontakte ranks first among platforms in terms of the share of time that Russian users spend on the Internet.

According to Mediascope CEO Ruslan Tagiyev, VKontakte accounts for 13% of all time spent by users on the Internet.

St. PETERSBURG, June 3 - RIA Novosti. The social network VKontakte ranks first among platforms in terms of the share of time that Russian users spend on the Internet, said Mediascope CEO Ruslan Tagiyev.

Tagiyev presented a study on the time spent by users on the Internet at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF).

“Among the general population, VKontakte is the absolutely winning social network in the country; 13% of all time on the Internet is spent on VKontakte,” Tagiyev said during the session “Real and virtual space: a symbiosis of platforms for educating new generations.”

He noted that the study is based on technical measurement of user behavior and allows assessing actual consumption of digital content without the use of surveys.
